| Johann Georg Schambach - he immigrated 9/9/1749 on the ship 'Saint Andrew'. Born in Heppenheim, Hessen Nassau, he originally settled in Lancaster Co., PA but later move a little further west to Dauphin and Cumberland Co., PA. Most if not all of the family across the country now use the name Shambaugh. (10 generations are listed from Jaeckel Schambach) INDEX | Adolph Schambach - immigrated 8/17/1729 on the ship 'Mortonhouse'. He was from Fussgonheim, Germany where he had been listed as a head of household in 1723. His family originally settled in eastern Pennsylvania in the Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery County area. The family that remained in the Montgomery Co., PA changed the name to Shambough. Those that went to Snyder Co., PA changed the name to Shambach while most of the rest across the country now use the name Shambaugh.
